Fiala was the sixth hatchling born to Sinlarra and Riviel. She hatched from a nest of three, the only girl among two boys and the only hatchling to hold so much resemblance to their mother. Through her adolescence, she was raised under the wisdom of Sinlarra, who led the clan with the grace of a leader and the heart of a mother. As she grew, she aspired to be as strong and kind as her mother, hoping to stay by her side throughout her life and learn, but when her mother finally explained what would happen when she came of age, that she would be possessed by this insane desire to find her Charge and it would take her very far from home, she was discouraged. Not many Guardians returned to their clans once they found their Charge.


Determined, Fiala vowed to return home once she found her Charge and though her mother reassured her that everything would be fine if she decided to change her mind, Fiala would hear none of it. When the day came that she turned of age and the Pull began to tug at her very heart and soul, Fiala left her clan behind, starting a journey that took her far from the Tangled Wood and to the depths of the Sea of a Thousand Currents.
