Biography

Miremist
Overly energetic adventurer/mother of all

When Oinyes left to explore the Windswept Plateau, Miremist was fraught with grief beyond imagining. The stormy cliffsides were no place for a Fae! Especially one so young... She could break a wing, get swept away, or hunted down by hungry Talonok looking for a snack! Of course, Oinyes reminder her of her dozens of brothers and sisters who did the same, though that didn't do much to ease Miremist's concern. It felt like only yesterday her stray egg drifted along Singer's Brook, to reveal a frail hatchling with no chance of surviving on their own. She taught Oinyes how to fly, how to bring Windsinger's might to her side in order to reach greater heights, and despite some growing curves, teach her how to be as expressive, and most importantly, help her happy as any other dragon, even without a birthclan to call her own. Of course, it was time for her to leave the nest, as all the others had... Though, as Miremist saw her baby take to the skies, she felt something she hadn't before... Alongside pride and fear came remorse and sorrow, though she couldn't put her talon on why Oinyes felt so different in that regard. Maybe in all her long years of fostering and babysitting, her first stray egg may be her last. Age was catching up, and quickly after all. Maybe it was time to settle down soon.

Belongings in hand, Miremist was greeted at the Aerwoven Tower by an incredibly bewildered Gaoler as Oinyes leaped right back into her mother's arms. As it turns out, Miremist was right in thinking she should retire soon, and out of all her children she visited, Oinyes was the one she was most excited for, especially when she got the go-ahead to make herself at home. Remaining ever-prideful of her daughter who founded her own clan, Miremist helps around as she's able, often pitching in to help raise hatchlings or help see them off to other clans or the Windsinger. Despite her aging, she still remains incredibly energetic, and can keep up with the antics of her grandchildren and niece with ease, even surpassing them at times. When she's not off visiting family, Miremist can finally take some time off to pursue other interests in her semi-retirement, including finding someone to share her experiences with and perhaps find something else in...

Linda is perhaps the oldest and most energetic noggle in the realm, taking after Miremist on any of her adventures, and even going on some of her own. Judas is absolutely delighted that he has a new playmate.

A few days after her arrival, Orinthrope got the usual son-in-law talk-down, but it didn't go quite as he expected. Instead of "If you hurt my daughter so help me I will bring Windsinger's wrath down upon you," after learning of his origins as a Guardian, she brought him aside one day and said "If anything happens to my daughter, I know you'll be there to protect her and help her through the pain, whatever it may be." Orinthrope never expected to receive Oinyes' mother's blessing, but a few tears were shed that night and the two spent some time getting to know each other better.
