Cold Heart of the Contagion
Stallone came to the Summer Squalls alone, telling a tale of a years-long unsuccessful Search. The truth, however, is that while Stallone did leave his birth clan on a Search, the heartless nature of the world hardened the young guardian and prompted him to abandon his Search in favor of learning to con and steal from those around him. Occasionally coming across a prospective apprentice, Stallone would take young, orphaned dragons under his wing and train them. However, he eventually abandoned each and every one once it became clear they didn't have what it took to meet his standards. Only one escaped this fate, a young skydancer with a stronger conscience than most. The skydancer turned the tables on his self-serving mentor and left their partnership behind on his own. Following this development, Stallone came across a clan in the Windswept Plateau and stayed. He had been there for just over a month when a familiar, half-starved skydancer arrived at the clan. Cadence, Stallone's former apprentice and the only dragon every to walk out on Stallone, had come to live with the clan. For the first time, Stallone was worried than his silver tongue wouldn't be enough to save his position since Cadence had more than enough information to completely destroy Stallone's cover. Cadence never did, though. During The Splintering, Stallone pledged his allegiance to Miraval's militia and left the Squalls, happy to put distance between himself and Cadence. For now, he caused very little trouble, living with the Militia and training cadets and kites alongside Miraval, Spethjasu, and Neiya. |
