"Look. He looks like his mother, and such a beautiful creature she is. His presence brings us great honour," Krahsoviing crooned, fawning over the crimson gems on his hide.
Red eyes met red, and a connection took place, blood singing in an ungodly wailing cacophony.
"You must accept him," Krahsoviing hissed, pulling him close, the younger male immediately calm and content in her embrace. "I will not live without him."
Lux and Lou exchanged looks, unable to deny the value of having one from Tezcatlipoca's clutch, or the connection they saw forming between the two.
"Very well," Lux said softly, watching as Krahsoviing trilled in delight and nuzzled her beloved. "We will send one of Lassa and Marburg's get as tribute. Our clan will only benefit from such an alliance."
The young male churred contentedly as Krahsoviing preened him. He had found his purpose, and his home, sharing the blood and nest of the beautiful creature that kissed him.
Like his mother before him, he flared his wings, and his throat undulating, he began to sing.
