October, once hailed from a prestigious family, who constantly doted on him. As their only son, they took him everywhere, from important business agreements, to lunch parties. He happen to find all the pomp and flair to be confusing, so when he found time away from them, he read anything that found its way on the library shelves about upper-class life. His parents, when he was still young, sent him to study under Basileus, the scholar, as a measure to make sure their prosperity would carry their name and business well. Unfortunately, the rebellion began, and he followed Basileus out of the city to the unknown. There's a bounty for his return and a warrant for the arrest of whomever "kidnapped" him.

Instead of studying, he mostly keeps the scroll room clean, or gets Basileus lunch and dinner. The other times, Hyacinthus and Spice drag him out of the drafty room to go play pranks on others. He gets quite embarrassed when confronted with those with wealth, as they make him feel like a commoner.
