Silurian

Silurian Shadow-of-Depths may have been hatched to Plague and adopted by Shadow, but at heart he is a creature of the watery depths. With the help of his fellow aquatic clan-mates Ashton and Zjeade, he dug a deep lake and series of weir ponds by digging out and damming a stream that had already cut a deep channel. He lairs contentedly at the bottom of this lake, minding the fish stocks and enjoying the feel of the water around his scales. He sometimes migrates down river channels south to the inland sea or east to the great oceans, always bringing back rare fish or interesting findings.

Few of his clanmates know him well, but he is fondly admired. Generally he abhors the light, but will rise sometimes by moonlight to rest in sweet-smelling, night-blooming water lilies, to stretch and dry his wings and then take silent flight in the air above his waterways. Some dragons claim to read portents and signs in the beautiful shadows cast by his wings upon the water.
