To most of the Skyreaver Clan, Aschere is more affectionately known as 'the Mother'. It is greatly due to her overwhelming need to protect and preserve that the Clan formed in the first place. In her youth, as she traveled, she collected friends and cohorts as well as a host of enemies. Most apt to accept new members into the Clan, or vote in their favor, she is often the first dragon prospective new hatchlings or fledglings become close to. It is also not unknown for her to take in eggs found by scouts or other hunters and nest them to be sure they hatch even if they are not her own.

It is well known that Aschere will protect her adopted children, friends, and those she has proclaimed hers with her life. She is territorial to a fault and quick to anger if she thinks her space is being encroached upon. It seems strange for such a territorial dragoness to be part of a Clan that holds claims to no lands or vast hoards of wealth, but it is the relationships with others and the other dragons of the Clan that she treasures. It also seems strange that she seems to have such guardian-esque qualities about her, but few question it.

While the imperial owes her allegiance to Flamecaller, Aschere was not borne of her influence from the start. However, time spent within the Ashfall Wastes has turned her frosty breath so cold that it burns. In a way, she sees it as a blessing from Flamecaller herself, a blessing to a child that missed out upon her gifts at birth.

In battle, rather than fight with blazing force, she reads her opponents before striking. She is not a defensive fighter by any means, rather, she knows weak points to look for, how to use her size to her advantage, and how to read a battlefield with a single glance. It is because of these qualities that the Tribunal looks to her as their strategic leader and tactical genius. Given how many beastclans the Clan faces at any given point in time, her talents are a boon to them.

Woe behest any who grievously wounds or kills one of her family, for Aschere's rage is a fearsome sight to behold. Her protectiveness, though, is as much a good thing as a bad one. It can sometimes result in a possessiveness that makes her not only view other dragons as 'hers' but also decide for herself that their lives are hers to take--not that she ever would, except in a case of Clan betrayal. Should anyone ever double-cross her Clan, she could become as much executioner as guardian.

History

Hatchling:
A lone egg in a lone nest, Aschere was abandoned at birth. No one can say with certainty whether it was because her parents did not want her, if they were killed, or otherwise, but it isn't important. She was born alone in the world, but not defenseless. In the shivering reaches of the Southern Icefields, the young imperial began her life. It was difficult to begin knowing nothing about how to hunt or how to survive, but her instincts took over quickly and saved her from the fate that otherwise might have been awaiting her.
