Ismael

When his homeland became a barren wasteland after a tremendous war- fire and lightning scorching the earth and leaving nothing alive- Ismael took to travelling. It was either that, or curl up and wait for death.
From then on, his path was riddled with difficulties. A young scavenger alone was a thing the world did not care for, he had to find out finally, the hard way.
Caught by slavers he had been dragged around, but scrawny as he was, nobody had seemed to want the young Imperial. Angry with the waste of time and ressources, the slavers took out their frustration in Ismael, who could only take it and plot his escape.
When it finally happened, it was more a coincidence than an actual plan, as the slavers were attacked by people they had sought to betray. Ismael managed to free himself from his chains, if not his shackles, and took to the skies before anyone could come after him.
Since then, he has become a lot more careful and mistrusting of Strangers.
