Placebo was found when the Rotrock warriors were battling at the Bamboo Falls, left abandoned just inside the Wind Flight's territory. Confused as to why such a beautifully coloured dragon would be left alone, they decided to take him in, and brought him back to the Clan. Faerie agreed to watch him until he found his feet in the Clan.

The reason for his abandonment, however, soon became clear. Waking everyone at the light of dawn with his grating, raucous calls, he took to mimicking everything and everyone with expert mockery, and frequently stuck his snout where it didn't belong. While these traits quickly gained him disfavour among his peers, Faerie took a shine to him, and offered him a place alongside her in the Nature Cave. He happily accepted, and spends most of his time there with Faerie and Cream Soda.

After watching his mates work with all sorts of animals, Placebo decided to take up a similar hobby, tending to the many plant species that grew within the cave. It surprised a lot of dragons that such an obnoxious animal could take up such a mellow hobby, although some would argue breaking a whole in the cave's roof to allow the plants adequate sunlight was the definition of annoying. Nevertheless, he has a true passion for his work, and some say he eats insects just to stop them from chewing on his prized possessions.
