After a chance encounter on a trading expedition, Vela met Xavier's unrivalled passion for vending with an almost equal enthusiasm. Her amiability and integrity behind the stalls of her own clan was what drew Xavier to her side, where they spent most of the night haggling over each other’s wares. This fated meeting soon blossomed into a relationship, and, eager to purse a joint business with her new-found mate, Vela accompanied Xavier back to his homelands, where they settled as trading partners for the Astheryl Clan.

Because of her loquacious tendencies, Vela isn’t the most prompt of merchants. Whilst a transaction may take longer than is really necessary, her social abilities often unwillingly persuade her clients into buying more wares, thus acquiring more treasure (which she had developed a blatant passion for). Her amiability also contributes to the liveliness and content of her clan, and she has gained a great many friends within the arcane-based community.

Xavier isn’t the only one with a curious gift, for Vela also possesses a certain talent in the interpretation of constellations. Using their positions in the sky, she can translate them into directions that lead to the different corners of Sornieth. When she’s not marvelling over the contents of Zerelth’s storeroom with her mate, you might find her studying the skies, searching for new additions amongst the map of stars.
