+ Apolline is weak, he tells her. He is rebuked by Mizarius and Aetherrin.
+ Ancilla agrees with him. Cue vague bond over the ideal of strength, dedication and duty.
+ Rivalry between Astor and Aetherrin reaches boiling point when is slighted at not having any children.
+ Apolline goes missing. Ancilla returns from a long journey.

+ Through his many battles, Ancilla used some of her magic to help aid him. Subtly. He figures it out. She tries to lie, embarrassed. Seeing her in a new light, Astor spends more time with her.
+ Astor gets on well with the other SD families despite his dislike for Aetherrin, he wishes all Jadewings health and strength. He is one of very few who have heard Ancilla laugh.
+ He does not appreciate Spessartite and her melting habits, neither does he spend any time with Benevolence or Charity.
+ He only had some contact with Carosh and Eita as they hunt at different locations. He has heard of their children's battle prowess and thinks of them highly despite not speaking much.
+ He is stubborn and grumpy when in the slightest bit of discomfort. He prefers simple things and dislikes talking about his Charge. (Still engrained since the breed switch). Charge being to protect what he loves most.
