Antix was born with his destiny already laid out before him. It was decided, before he or any of his siblings even hatched, that they would be among those selected to make the mysterious exultation journey to become one with the All Mother Shadowbinder. He knew this from the first. He knew this always.

As he grew. As he learned. As he came to forge bonds with his clan mates - as he made friends. As he fell in love. He always knew the day would come that he would have to leave it all behind.

He took peace in the fact that, at least, he was allowed to remain long enough to watch Luccio take up the mantle of leadership. Even if they couldn't have the life, the love, his heart yearned for - at least his dear one had found happiness.

But then, there, during his ascension ceremony Luccio made his first decree as Leader of the Tangled Earth Clan. "From this point forward, the Imperial said in his clear, steady voice, "exaltation will be the choice of each dragon, for his and her self. None will be forced to leave, though they may choose to."

Now, Antix rules at his lover's side, and serves as counsel those members of the clan who have decided to walk the honored path; helping them prepare for the journey they choose to make.
