Tyzheer

Tyzheer Grinning-Sharp-Shadow is a tricky, unpredictable, venomous and hungry coil of secretive, clever chaos. This beast is trouble, and best avoided. Closely bonded to the plague-born imperial Foxfire, he revels in traveling the festival circuit with her, assisting her with carnival games and amusements---many of which are cleverly rigged or hold nasty surprises. Foxfire may be seen frequently without Tyzheer, but those who know them are careful to wonder where he actually is, when this is seen to be the case.

A pious shadow dragon, Tyzheer is somewhat obsessed with the Shadowbinder and exaltation, his presumed purpose as a hatchling. He often worries that it is his duty and highest calling to present himself for this purpose immediately, but is having way too much fun in this world to go through with it. This dichotomy between religious fervor and hedonistic delight in worldly pleasures is at the core of his active, unstable character.

Ri'il Dancing-in-Shadow, the clan's founder, is the only dragon who can truly control him. Arrogant and dangerous with almost any other dragon, he fawns on Ri'il and craves her attention and care. He will occasionally leave Foxfire's presence to spend a day or two in her den, sleeping twined in a heap with Sweetieplague and Plaguemoggie, his parent, for a rare moment of still contentment.
