Healer | Potion Brewer | Battle Medic
Grumpy | Anti-social | Wary
"I have only one job to do. Let me do it, or do it yourself."
A creature of twisted wood and arcane energy, Magnar is a powerhouse of magical energy. Created, hatched, or formed, no one knows of his true origins, for he refuses to talk about it. He uses his incredible magical reserves to heal dragons, even from the brink of death from wounds no other healer in Elysium could hope to mend. Largely a loner, Magnar isn't fond of the gawking eyes and hushed whispers of his clan mates, and as such, hides away within the safety of the crystal caverns far beneath Elysium's Mage Tower. Whilst not nasty, he can be a bit suspicious and unwelcoming to those he doesn't know, and Elysium's master mage, Aduain, is the only one of two dragons to know of his exact location. It is said Aduain regularly visits Magnar in order to retrieve freshly brewed potions to quicken the healing of wounds and banishing of illness, but none are sure of the truth to this. The extra strong potions and elixers Aduain provides thrum with intense energy, however, and do their job well, and regardless if Magnar is their creator or not, are prized by those who need them most. The other to know of Magnar's dwelling place is, oddly, the digging obsessed Tundra, Orian. A seemingly one sided relationship, Magnar stumbled upon Orian by chance during his travels, sensing trouble deep within the tunnels the Tundra had dug in a fit of grief. Despite Magnar's efforts to encourage the opposite, Orian trailed him all the way to Elysium, and has remained a steadfast friend of the Coatl ever since, Orian remembering Magnar even when he forgets all others after months away. No one is sure why this is so, but it is both a frustration and endearing thing to Magnar. Whenever Orian visits to deliver ores and minerals every few months, Magnar acts as his reluctant host. Some say he enjoys the company, despite his protests. No matter the thoughts on Magnar, if healing on a grand scale is needed, or a healer for battles, this Coatl is called upon. And no matter what, he answers, seeming to know where he is needed without being told. |
