It's terrifying, to look in the face of a living statue,the beasts stoic mask giving away nothing. He can barely focus on the Empress's words,the group's leader carefully negotiating trade deals for the neighboring kingdom. He was just a guard after all, a large ridgeback with a bad attitude. That was his role. But the empress's guard was absolutely terrifying, giving away everything and nothing all it once, just by standing still. He gave off a powerful aire, his head held tall,taller than anything else in the room. His claws were better described as talons, his teeth immensely sharp. He couldn't see his eyes, but could feel his judging gaze burn against his back. He felt a snarl building in the back of his throat, terror of the huge imperial spiking his nerves."Yes, of course,thank you your majesty." the group leader quickly began to leave the palace, polished claws clicking nervously on the floor."Wait." the huge imperials voice boomed out. The ridgeback flinched,his mouth curling into frown as he heard the imperial approach them. He lowered his great head,and sniffed the group leader. Almost immediately, he was ordered to attack, their mission exposed by the idiotic mistake of using scented poison.The ridgeback didn't even get a chance to move before a great paw slapped into him,sending him barreling into a palace wall. He quickly pulled himself up,abandoning the mission when he saw his group leader get picked up and shaken in the jaws of the monstrous dragon.He attempted to sprint out of the palace,his chipped claws sliding along the smooth floor.He let out a terrified scream as the imperial pinned him by the tail,a single talon pressing into the base of his tail.He whimpered as the beast's great jaws closed around his hide,a cheer erupting from the court as his life was crushed out of him.
