Mowgli (MAO-glee) ~ aka Frog ~ is named for the main character
in Rudyard Kipling's beloved children's book, The Jungle Book

Mowgli's adoptive wolf parents gave him the name Mowgli,
which means "frog" in the language of the forest,
because he had no fur and he could never sit still

In America and India, most people pronounce his name as 'MO-glee',
but the author stated that the first syllable rhymes with 'cow', which is
how the name is pronounced in Britain
