As a hatchling, Irodori had an unfortunate run-in with a rampaging dragon that left her grievously injured. The run-in left her unable to fly more than a few hundred feet at a time, nearly blind, and scarred in more ways than one. No one appeared to help her and it took her weeks to finally be able to move again. She made her way across the Sunbeam Ruins through the Tangled Wood and eventually found an unguarded passage that led from the territory of the Shadow Flight into the vivid forests and jungles of the Viridian Labyrinth. During her entire journey she subsisted on whatever happened to crawl within her diminished grasp. By the time she reached the Viridian Labyrinth she seemed to be nothing more than scales and bones.

Irodori snuck into the Edge of the Wyld Clan holding on an overly warm night near Midsummer looking for food and anything else she could. Unfortunately in her condition she was unable to dodge the night watchman and was caught just as she tried to slip out a little known entrance and she was brought before the Clan Leader.

Kinya took one look at her and declared that she needed to be brought to the infirmary where Pumpkin took over her care and slowly nursed Irodori back to health. At first, Irodori planned to just take advantage of the clan hospitality for as long as she could until they kicked her out, but as she lived amongst the clan she slowly found herself being won over by their kindness and warmth. She worked with Pumpkin for a long time, learning the ups and downs of the clan and eventually requisitioned a space from Kinya to work on an experiment.

Utilizing knowledge gleaned from various Lightning and Arcane Flight members that came through the Edge of the Wyld clan territories, she began to cobble together machines that she hoped would eventually negate some of the physical limitations she had. Eventually she came up with mechanical wings that would support hers so that she was able to achieve longer flight and eventually a pair of goggles that would allow her to see almost normally again. She began to venture further into technology, often accompanying a scavenging group into the Golem Workshop as well as other places and using the technology she found there to create new things that help make things easier in the lair. The inventions range from dumbwaiters to electrical light sources powered by hydroelectricity generated by the waterfall the Edge of the Wyld Clan dwells behind.

After the attack of the Shadow Hunters on the Autumn Equinox, she was able to apply the knowledge she'd gained to assist Xiuhcoatl in being able to fly again and she is currently working on getting the electric lights and dumbwaiters working again.
