The most popular boy in dragon school.
No one knows why.

Jimmy's the coolest boy in all of Clan Troubadour, and definitely the dreamiest. Don't ask me why, because I don't know, and even Jimmy doesn't know. What he does, says, and wears immediately becomes cool. He has a lot of friends. Most of the other adolescent dragons try to emulate him or garner his favor.

There's nothing outwardly remarkable about him. He does well in classes, is athletic, and is nice to everyone. He's every bit as awkward, confused, weird, and otherwise quirky as all the other young dragons in the clan. Is his status a random whim of youthful clique-ishness? Is it a benevolent curse? Is it a pheremone? Does he simply have that It Factor?

It's hard to tell. He reads Louella LeClaw mysteries and listens to everything from classical to Earth rock (nothing quite like a minor quake spell for percussion). He runs on the track team and plays lutar (lute/guitar hybrid) in the Bishi Boys. He wore a top hat to the Crystalline Gala dance. Nobody knows if he likes anyone, you know, like LIKE-likes them.

Ask any of the other dragons about him, or his popularity, his legend, his secret. The answer you get will always be the same, and in the end, I think it's not only all the explanation we'll get, but probably also the only one we need:

"He's just... Jimmy."
