The Librarian
Astara is the sole protector and keeper of The Library Of The Alliance. Some of it was destroyed in the Blood Dawn which has done quite a number on her. Not only does she feel that she has failed as a Guardian, she also has to deal with the loss of her mate Azure. Who was one of the many killed in battle. Nowadays she stays in her library and keeps herself busy with work to distract and to try to redeem herself for her failure. Luckily a few of her clanmates have made it their priority to look out for her. Namely Garnet (Azure's adopted sister) and Isolt, who understands what it's like to loose a mate. Jayr has gently offered to talk to her and help her go through her trauma, but so far she has refused. But she has stopped snapping at him every time he enters her library, so perhaps there is hope...

Oh and that cat on her head? That's Gemini. She keeps pests out of the books.

After the loss of Cranny with Astara's mate Azure, Nook is learning how to take care of what is left of the library. He still doesn't get it and he knows he will never live up to Cranny's standard, but he tries. He has to.
