Shaava

Shaava has a fine eye for detail, and prides herself on the intricate embroidery and beading that she adds to her pieces for a finishing touch. Due to her profession, she pays close attention to the latest fashions, but isn't afraid to call out trends that she feels look stupid, particularly those that are frilly to the point of impeding on the movement of their wearers. Shaava is a strong believer of sewing clothing that keeps both form and function in mind.

While she may seem intimidating, particularly to younger dragons who can't tell when she's joking and when she's being serious, Shaava has a soft spot for dragons who are earnest and curious about her work. If she notices someone who seems genuinely interested, she will bend over backwards to teach them as many tricks of the trade as they're willing to learn.

Merinde is Shaava's apprentice-turned-business-partner. The centaur originally came to the Clan of the Flowering Glen expressly to learn under Shaava's tutelage. The dragoness had mentored a few others before Merinde, but Merinde was especially sharp-witted and creative, always willing to break the mold of tradition to find new and innovative techniques to their craft. The two became very close, and what was once a temporary arrangement has now become a comfortable business partnership. The ability of each is refined by the other--Merinde from Shaava's expertise, and Shaava from Merinde's fresh ideas and ingenuity.
