Keir was born with a deformity that made his front legs shorter, making running on all fours difficult but he can still use them for walking. He was not able to run in large hunting groups due to him being heavy and awkward without his front legs to support his upper body, but he was trained for combat and he was a powerful fighter.
He was separated from his pack in a sudden attack from a wandering clan that was seeking more space to grow, and Keir was left to die from his injuries until he was found by a raggedy Tundra, being nursed back to health by her and given the opportunity to go back home. But he had none. She offered him a place to stay until he can get himself back together, so he stayed. He stayed much longer than he thought and the two of them grew fond of each other, and soon they started a clan.
