Lydia came from her previous clan of Light with her young daughter in tow. The result of a one-egg nest, Lydia's daughter had been touched by the shade. Plucked from her mother's arms the moment of her hatching- both of Lydia's older sons and mate were exalted. And soon to be, she and her daughter.

With the cooperation of a few good friends within her old clan, come nightfall Lydia snatched up her unnamed child and fled west. As they dipped into Shadow flight territories is when her struggle began- travelling from one clan to another, getting just enough supplies and a few nights' stay to make it to the next. But no one with the room or resource to provide a permanent home. Especially for a mother and her shade-afflicted child. Most saw it as a disaster waiting to happen, or simply lacked the knowledge or medicine to even begin dealing with the problem.

As she neared the edge of the dark and murky lands and spied The Pilar of The World on the horizon.. she came across one last clan. Perfectly tucked away in the Wispwillow Grove. She figured, one last shot before trying the Earth territories.

They accepted her with open arms, more than sympathetic to the struggles of living with the shade. Lydia hadn't expected near such a positive response, ever-thankful for the safety the clan has provided her and her daughter. She is now the clan forager, bringing back any and all nuts, fruits and berries the clan requires. Also works evening shifts as a server in the teahouse.
