Aeons was once a warrior of Plague. She had always had a good head on her shoulders. She understood the weight she carried being Plague and disliked the stars she was born beneath. Aeons learned all she needed to when it came to battle for she knew that leaving Plague lands was not to be an easy feat. Excelling in the skills of the spear, as soon as she was thrust into war she deserted and escaped her Flight. She traveled and lost herself many a time in the Tangled Wood, but eventually found her way to Light territories. It is here she lay her spear down before a temple and asked them to rid her of any Plague in her body. The Templar there were so moved by her, they took her in to see the clerics and priests and together they purified her. However, the process was not without sacrifice, for Plague was every part of her. The Purification was agonizing and her ashen skin became pale and her eyes blinded by the Light. Since, she has put down the spear and picked up the mantle of priesthood. She was transferred to a monastery to learn and she spent her days in peace and happiness there. It was down the years she was one of the heads of this monastery that she met a wanderer. Many came for shelter and food while they traveled, but this one was different and they were both smitten with one another. He did not stay long but the days he was with her, she spent with him and both were head over heels for one another. She’d never felt this way before. Months went by and he was long gone. She realized she was with child. The priesthood shunned her and exiled her upon her confession. She left and moved to the outskirts of the town to be alone with her children, taking refuge in an abandoned cabin. She taught her children humility and the way of Light, and when they too left her, she found herself alone in the cabin... For years she pined for something more. She was lonely and in time, she took up the spear and armor and returned to the place that purified her. Again she threw herself to the ground and confessed to the Templar, and again they brought her before the priesthood there. They forgave her with ease, unlike the ones from the monastery, and they told her that it was obvious she was not meant to be tucked away. Instead they told her to keep her armor and spear, and become a Templar and to travel and live freely in the world, teaching others the value of honour and to be true to themselves. For these were her strongest values, and they found she was worthy for something more. -- By no means is Aeons as powerful as she was with her eyesight. She can be quite clumsy, but memorizes paths easily as it is imperative to her survival. She constantly trains to get better at using her other senses with fighting. Aeons uses her spear as a walking stick to help her figure out her way in foreign areas or when traveling. |
