Xeilynn

History:

Queen Xeilynn felt a calling to become an Alpha from an early age. This went against the wishes of her birth clan; they were unused to female Alphas and declared it not to be the natural order. She knew that would be the case and accepted that becoming one would mean leaving her current clan behind. So, barely a hatchling, she set out on her own.

For a while, the Nightwatch clan fostered the little lost dragon looking for her family. They took a liking to her - especially the young Windsong. The two practically grew up together and made a blood pact to be sisters until the end of time. During her tenure with them, she learned the ways of combat, grew strong and noble. Alas, as she grew older, her old calling to become her own Alpha rose fresh in her. Though Nightwatch was far more accepting of her goal, that role was already filled. Therefore, when she came of age, they sent her on her way.

This decision sent her across the Frigid Floes to find another home for herself, and to welcome in any and all who would come with her from her old family. None did, though along the way she met Elson, who was similarly without clan and allegiance. Together, they staked a claim on a sizeable floe and began foraging and building a home. Shortly thereafter, they laid a clutch of eggs to help grow the clan, regardless of whether or not others joined.

Though they soon did. Stray dragons here and there came to seek a new life in her keep, some eggs that were abandoned, some fully-grown males that grew restless. Part sanctuary, part refuge, Xeilynn merely thinks of it as hers, and the clan members as hers. Beyond that, labels are meaningless.


Personality Profile:

Xeilynn is oddly calm and unconcerned for an Alpha. She tends to spend more time listening than speaking, and would prefer to gather plants and mother her young than to hunt and destroy. However, she is most certainly no stranger to combat and defense, though her emphasis is on spellwork rather than tooth and claw.

Though Elson and Xeilynn have mated and produced eggs, they do not consider themselves a mated pair. It is their responsibility to see to the prosperity of their clan and nothing more. They have both produced eggs with other clan members, though they remain fiercely loyal to each other. Lifelong friends more than anything.
