YRSA - derived from an Ancient Norse word for 'she-bear' with the same roots as Latin ursus

Pledged to Ellisif

Bio - Yrsa never intended to be the matriarch of any clan, but has come into the responsibility and power with grace. She's seen three different flights, hundreds of battles, and welcomed one of every dragon species into her lair in Dragonhome. She's found her charge, and mate, Ellisif, and together they've hatched an abandoned egg and raised a daughter, Angela. Yrsa is still very young, but every day brings her new experiences and builds on her wisdom. She is respected absolutely within the clan, despite never having cracked down on the hijinks of its various and eccentric members, for her even temper and reflective tendencies.

Her focus now as matriarch is strengthening the clan and helping each of its members find peace and happiness, whichever they prefer. She oversees the work of the Yrsung Shieldmaidens, who train adopted hatchlings to serve the Earthshaker and permanent members of the clan for its own defense, keeps a watchful eye on the scientific pursuits of the Weird Sisters, Stigrun, and Blaer, and works alongside Brynhildr and Dagny to maintain the clan's stores and reputation. She hopes Earth Flight will become the clan's permanent home and is overseeing the construction of a lair in line with that.
