Warrior is a male Nocturne born in the harsh center of the Plaguelands. He doesn't know much of himself, or even of his home lair. A wanderlust has driven him to ask his leader, Echo, to be allowed to adventure. A smile reassured him as Echo agreed for him to leave, just as Discord once did. Now he soars to the next land, ready to see what the planes have to offer; always hungry for more.

---

Absolutely ecstatic to be out on his own, Warrior blazed off into the sky at astounding speeds. The small nocturne was too excited to pay attention to his own levels of endurance. He headed south, and paused for a short rest on the southern shore of the continent, lounging on the southernmost shores of the Windsewpt plateau. Had he been thinking clearly, this is where he would have rested, and began to forage for food. However, he did not

Instead, the dragon stared out over the open seas, seeing the isles of ice in the distance. His tail twitched and his eyes dilated in hyper-concentration - and then suddenly, he was gone. Off again, swept into the air by his furiously flapping wings. The plague and ice realms had never gotten along very well, and for Warrior, that made his adventure even more exciting. Now was his chance to explore even the areas of the world that were out of bounds, that were strange, and foreign, and at difference to the world he was borne to.

However, before long Warrior realized how grave a mistake he had made. Sitting on the shore, he had been sure the flight over the seas would have been no problem. But now he was flying over an expanse of water, with the air temperature plummeting with every flap of his wings that drove him forward. Tired and stuff, he began to feel like the Southern Icefield was only getting farther and farther away. Frozen tears stung the corners of his eyes, and his wings began to get heavier. He looked to the side and realized with horror that icicles were forming on his wings! The fear that swept through him invigorated him and brought a wave of life saving heat and energy to his muscles, and he tucked in his wings, plummeting towards the waters below and shaking off the ice violently. He caught himself just in time above the water, and furiously beat his wings to gain altitude.

The winds were picking up now, racing behind him and filling his wings with air. It was difficult to glide on the wind as it was simultaneously trying to toss him aside. Finally reaching the lands of ice, he more or less hurdled straight into a drift of snow on the side of a mountain of the cloudscrape craigs. Absolutely exhausted, he did his best to dig deeper into the snow and build an impromptu den. Shivering and heaving with exhaustion, the last thing Warrior saw was the white expanse of snow caving in on his den...

Awake again an unknown amount of time later, the only thing that can describe his surroundings is... soft. Endless fuzzy comfort. Warrior twists and churns his body, not even sure what direction is up in his endless imprisonment of comfort. Then suddenly, light stings his eyes as a snout comes into view, tossing aside the plushies separating him from the outside world.

YELLOW. GREEN. SO MUCH OF IT. Warrior squints his eyes shut, as in impossibly brightly coloured dragon excitedly unburies him from the mountain of stuffed creatures. "HI THERE! I'M QYLUNA!" the imperial exclaims.

In his experience of being frozen, Warrior's hide had crystalized into ice. Esyllt, the leader of this lair, was able to revive him, but his body stayed that way, now forever a reminder of his close encounter with death. He took solace over the next few days in the pile of plushies Qyluna had made into his bed, and as a parting gift, she let him keep them all. Grateful for the dragons of the lair helping him, he left with a heavy heart, hoping to return one day. And yet, his outlook was a bit different now, as if defying death had shifted his view of the world, and gien a brighter glit in his eye...

((LyciaRonaine)): Leaving the Southern Icefield was rather hard for the young Nocturne as he had grown to love the clan of winter like dragons who lived in the snowy ice caps, the way he was helped and greeted by them warmed his hard and he was sad to have to leave but he knew that his journey was far from over. Taking to the skies he didn’t know where his trip would lead him next but he was sure that it was going to be exciting.

After flying away from the land of ice and snow the hot ash from the volcanoes of the Ashfall Waste filled his nostrils with a smoky scent and even though he was tempted to land there for a while he knew that if given the chance he would go back there later as he flew on.
The Shifting Expanse came into his view as he could almost feel the static in the air, the electrified lands were just bursting with energy as he decided that would be the place he would stay for the time being. Warrior surveyed his surroundings with a careful eye before he saw another Nocturne quite like himself leading a large group of Dragons and he was eager to introduce himself.

Artie, the leader of a large lightning clan of dragons, welcomed him as if he were one of their own. They exchanged stories as he told them of his hardships on his travels and the accident he went through, the other dragon’s attention were glued to him as he recited his tale and how he now had his icy crystalized hide. His stay there had proven to be useful to him as they taught him about the thunder charged land in which they lived their lives and how the desert like area could be foraged for different tools and foods.

After learning their ways Artie told him, “If you’re ever in a pickle my friend we’ll always have a home for you so come back any time you like!” He was thankful for the dragon’s kind words as he was awarded blue smoke along his scales as the leader had told him that it was their sign of nobility and loyalty and he had earned it for being a great student, not only that but a pair of Simple Pearly wing cuffs and a Silver Pocket watch as Artie said that it would be a souvenir of his time with them.

(nocturna8896): Warrior found himself in the land of the Arcane. Being very different from his own Plague land he had a bit of culture shock. This shock ceased his flight and he stopped to rest in a Clan of dragons who welcomed him. Warrior spend his days among this dragons learning everything they had to offer. Percival taught him some philosophy, Scatha told him all about the Arcanist. His time among these dragons was peaceful and restful.

One day when Warrior was out for a walk, a black bird rested on his shoulder. The other dragons in the Arcane clan told him that this was his familiar. So when he left, Warrior had an extra little buddy to help carry all the plushies.

----
Upon their arrival to the lair many were amused with the crystal form on the dragon's hide as none of them had ever seen such a thing. Worried he might be crushed Gwen stepped forward and dispelled the others with a savage roar. Vyrr stepped up beside her to back her up.
"What is your name little one?" She asked looking at the trail of plus his behind him.
"Warrior" he replied puffing out his small chest. His familiar burst forward out of the plus he's and mimicked his chest puff.
When the plusies began to move the couple and warrior backed up. Concerned were they horrified was warrior. Apparently visiting the shadow Realm does off things to plushies. A mamatee and kelp tender burst out of the mound of plushies! They both appeared confused and disoriented.
"Quick! Gather the plushies or they may all begin to change! The shadows are playing tricks!"
Everyone rushed to move the plushies inside and the trio plus 3 familiar looked at one another dazed and somewhat amused. By the end of the ordeal there were 4 floundering fat Mammerties and one Kelp Tender all looking about the den space flopping through their plushied 'siblings.'
"Welcome to the shadow lair" Vyrr hissed.
"You will have more help carrying the masses of plushies at the very least" Gwenn smirked.
Warrior remained with them, training with Gwen and Vyrr while his plushies kept his familiars company.

It wasn't long before the Leader of the pirate clan had ushered him to a corner before telling him the next leg of the journey.

Warrior, though reluctant to go back to his homeland, sighed; he wanted to stay longer in the new different lands and explore the world, experience the different elements and see anything but the dreaded similar wastelands of bone and muscle.

Though the clan was kind they helped gather his things and bid him farewell from the lair as he moved on to the next leg of the journey.

Skimming over the cool drafts that laced these shadowed lands, he hit a buffer, a dead drop point; using his muscles he gained altitude and later started once more on a glide in the warmer winds now.

What he did however was take a detour and got distracted.
Nearby him were sounds of a battle, and curious he found a nearby propped up rib of a once great beast felled.

Landing he wrapped his tail secure and snug against the bone and dug in his two little toes, his Storm Seeker perching above him chirping insistently. Yet the sounds were vivid, and he wanted a better look; prying forwards he had noticed three other Nocturnes. They had banded in a flanking maneuver and corralled a Clown Charger, though they were mostly out to test their strength against mighty foes he was shocked to see one of the Nocturnes strike at the Charger once and it dropped.

These must be high leveled Nocturnes, something to possibly be avoided but upon squinting in the bright light he noticed all were similar in a way, they all had a primary of white, and they all seemed to be female. Strange.

They picked up what they could from the Charger some bits of loot, the select parts of the body before each taking a spot and eating the meat they could pull off the foe. Curious he fluttered a bit from his roost and sat right-side up and leaned forwards using his tail to secure him to the bone; he wanted to see more.

Once more his Familar gave a few chirps, even pecked him a few times before fluttering around him. 'No, shh, not now..'

There were a few glimpses he caught, one female had facet golden-ish wings, another had what looked like maroon, the last had a dullish yellow. Impatient about the lull in this new journey the Storm Seeker gave one harsh loud squawk right next to the slit of warrior's ear.

It was at that precise moment that one of the Nocturnes he was watching pried her head up and studied him, her maw dribbling in fresh blood from her kill. With a half-extension of her wings she jabbed her companions in the side, and two more heads popped up.

'Oh ****, thanks you stupid bird.'
They remained there, he paled from the sheer look of them, white and all their maws covered in blood, stronger warriors then himself.
Fear washed over him.
Despite being a Plague dragon he knew the rules in this land.

FLEE

He bolted upwards into the air and slammed down on the air with his wings, it wasn't long before he heard the sickly churring, clicking noises of his sub-species. They were talking and chasing him.

The rushed sound of stretched membrane flaring and flapping harshly in the wind as they gave chase, all the while cleaning the fresh blood off their muzzles. He was quick, but tired due to his small travel before and though he was terrified his stamina couldn't keep up.

Soon enough he flagged in his pace and no sooner then that, they had circled him.
'Are you new here?'
'No.. he has plague eyes, he's obviously from here.'
'Then why was he watching?'
'We shall see.'

A terrified but mock flush filled him, he gave a flustered half smile, and wavered for a moment in the air before gliding down.
"I-I am sorry if I startled you..' He stammered.

Siqua the little leader of this group the white and bright golden Nocturne followed him down.
"Are you a wanderer?' She asked.
The other mimicked her, asking 'Are you?'

Warrior gulped.
'Y-yes..'

Kalyca bounced.
"He's the one suppose to come to our lair.'
'Alright, alright, we will guide him back, he looks tired.' mused Entu.

It wasn't long before they all arrived back to the lair, they passed over the antlers of the Imperials, and the coils of the hanging Spirals, far above the flared fins of the mirrors, and the fluff of the local Tundras, and the sharpened horns of the Guardians, and razor-like spines of the Ridgebacks.

In a little 'secondary' cavern small enough to house all the Nocturnes of this lair in this crevice above all the other dragons. In the dark gloom he had noticed there was almost a small colony of Nocturnes nestled in here.

Two Shade-like Nocturnes all Obsidian hued. Who huddled in the far back and whispered to one another.
Six white primary Nocturnes, 2 of them male, the 4 females.
and a brother and sister, both obsidian hued and teal colored wings.

The first one he had noticed besides the vivid Siqua with her goldenish wings, was Starlite; his eyes had fallen on her and she was indeed a sight to see.

White primary, and tropical ocean like wings, a bright and vivid blue.
She had noticed him watching and chortled softly; her mate had spied him from across the area. Icarus.

So many Nocturnes here.
-

It was within a few days before he saw a great red eye peer at them, one of the Imperials had peered inside this little hollow. 'Guest, I believe if I am told correctly you have no training? If so, please accompany Icarus and Vanity out to the training grounds, I expect to hear from you once more when you are much more stronger; your companions shall inform me every few days.'

Siqua had introduced herself before hand and shifted faintly. 'That was Abaddon, our Leader; I suggest you make yourself comfortable and get to know Icarus and Vanity a little more, they will help train you. I would if I could but I cannot; the areas I train may kill you and we do not need that.'

He did train, but the entire time he found himself fawning over the white and blue Nocturne; Starlite. She was... something, her hues, her attitude, though he felt conflicted because here he was with her mate training and he didn't want to make his slight 'acquaintance' with Icarus worse.

It was a few more days that he had to push before his next journey but he managed to hit a high enough level from training, most of the clan was impressed and congratulated him on his newest feat.

In the few short days he had to spare he offered to train and do as much he could in the clan, hunting, scavenging, and learning everything he could with these new 'clanmates' they were a fascinating group and although he was back in his homeland, he felt a little... kinship with them.

Upon the last day he asked to talk to Starlite personally, and took a little flight from the lair, he told her of his journeys, and she told him of their lair-mate who had gone on hers, but there was a few things he couldn't really say.

Like how he admired her, or how he valued their friendship.
Or how he wanted to see her once more, but he left with a smile and asked to see if he could have any last words with the leader.

Abaddon had granted him counsel and listened in to his stories, after awhile Abaddon offered the best of wishes, and gathered the few Nocturnes around to help him gather his supplies before bidding him a farewell, and that he was always welcomed back if he ever yearned to visit once again.

feeling he had learned what he needed, and his lust to come home started to grow. he took a longer flight home, back where his journey began. gliding past the plains of ice, something catch his eye floating in the warm waters as he left the plains.

'An...An EGG?!' his heart ebgan to race as he dove, snatching the thawing egg from the water. he knew the ways of ice, and possibly bringing this egg back to the cold would kill it. keeping it warm on him, he flew back home. Echo looked at the egg disapprovingly, but told Warrior if he wished, he could care for the youngling. however she knew it would be a challenge and a possible liability.

Warrior agreed and accepted the new roll Echo gave him. he was to be a lair trainer, knowing some of the lands around them would be valuable. a few days later after being in a nest of plushies he had collected on his travels, a small tundra broke free from the egg, as warrior watched. Echo was right, it was a weaker dragon for a hatchling. However warrior didnt care, now he could live to his name, a warrior with something to protect. more then just his home or his lair...but his family.
