Biography
Celeborn was hatched from a clutch of shadow dragons, ones recently plundered by the battlemages of the Lightweaver. The mages were perplexed, as his three siblings were all shadow dragons while he was light. Suspecting he was gifted, he was allowed into their academy as a hatching, and immediately excelled as a battlemage. He studied things far beyond his age and frequently shadowed elders in the field.
On one such shadowing, Celeborn was sent allong with the Archmage himself, to assist the Lightweaver with investigating an abandon lair near the Shadow/Light border. There, he witnessed the Lightweaver give "the Gift of Blinding" to a young mirror, which perplexed him. He asked the Archmage if he could take an outing to study the effects of this gift, to which the Archmage agreed only if Celeborn was to report to her directly through mail. Celeborn agreed, and stayed behind with the newly blind mirror named Ellivar, while the rest of the party flew away.
Over the next few months, Celeborn lived in this lair with Ellivar, periodically sending reports to the archmage. through this time, he found himself smitten with Ellivar. On his last report, he requested to remain in the lair, as Ellivar had grown dependent on his guidance and him on Ellivar's newly founded raw power. In reply, the Archmage wrote. "You have always been a protegee. Had you been a little older, you would have graduated quite a while ago and been placed in the immediate guard of the Lightweaver herself. You know this. I believe that this is your calling. You're ready to move on with your life. Good luck. I am so proud of you."
Now, Celeborn spends most of his time by Ellivar's side, and the rest tending to the clan. He manages the defenses, and makes sure the magic torches guiding Ellivar around their lair remain lit. While Ellivar is the clan's leader on paper, it's Celeborn that really runs the place. Despite the nature of Tundra dragons, Celeborn has never forgotten anything about his time with Ellivar.
