Kierö is an eccentric tinkerer, drawn to playing with lightning since hatch. He enjoys fussing with inventions, chatting, and puns (the worse the better). Generally level-headed, he prefers to avoid combat but will fight if pressed. He has a nurturing nature and loves having hatchlings about, regardless of if they are his or not. He is usually easy to read, excepting perhaps for Fae, and when over excited or extremely angry sparks sometimes jump from him. A hoard of metals, gemstones, and hatchlings would suit him, along with books or scrolls with schematics scribbled down in them. He has no words for his delight to have the honor of raising young Princess Morwynn.

After a week or so of watching the young Princess, Kierö began noticing things about her. She seemed to be taking well to the combat training Azura was giving her, but nonetheless she would jump at the Stormcatcher's orders being shouted out. Ki was deeply concerned. He paced over to his books, idly flipping through pages while mulling things over. Morwynn was his most precious treasure, and as of late she was asking more and more questions about home - if she would see her father, her mother, her Grandfather, her brother.... if she would see the great Ruins once more. A set of orders bellowed out broke Kierö from his thoughts. The dragon sighed and set the tome aside. No time to study here... but that could Change.

The slate tinkerer strode from his library and over to the Queenling who was shaking her head at Azura. Ki smiled and announced, "Morwynn, we're going home. Pack up your things and tell the others to do the same." Morwynn squeaked with excitement then charged over and nuzzled her Ward before bounding off to her roost. Kierö's grin vanished as he turned to Azura. As the initial shock faded from the Guardian's electric eyes, there seemed a simmering fury in it's place.

"You could have said something to me about this sooner, Kierö... but I will go. She is my Ward too, and I have sworn to Guard her." The large blue dragon turned and lumbered over to her Armory.

It was the end of Brightshine when Morwynn was beside him at the Sundial. She had been acting differently since returning home, and he wasn't sure why but soon learned.
"Kierö," she spoke quietly. The engineer slipped off his goggles to look back into her deep gold eyes. "You are the Spark that Lights my life." She nuzzled into him, grounding his shock with the physical reminder than he wasn't dreaming. She really said that... the Princess, my dearest...
"Morwynn, my dear one, you are the Light of my life, as you have been since we first met."
