Nalene is the Alpha Female of the Pestilent Clutch, ruling alongside her mate Felreaver. She is much more forgiving and kind than him, preferring to work peaceably more than dominantly.

She found Felreaver one day long ago, as he was working on a makeshift shelter for himself before the acidic rains hit for the afternoon. Nalene was quite intent on helping him, and no matter how many times Felreaver said he didn't need her help, she still stuck beside him.

They talked for a while and became a beautiful couple. The two have had two surviving daughters: Skyline and Critias. She is proud of both of them and will help them with anything they need.

While Nalene is from the Plague flight, she has taken an interest in the flora of the world around her. While she may not be that successful growing gorgeous Nature flowers, she can grow carnivorous flowers and deadly vines. She was helped largely by Evika, her sister-in-law's adopted daughter. The two often discuss their newest growths, trading or selling seeds to each other.
