Kaan

Ka'an had always been a rather ugly runt of a dragon and when he began his Search he was pink, black and emerald. Flying along innocently he was savagely attacked by another Guardian. When he found out why, he was pretty sure she was a little mad, because who would think that a Guardian could have a Charge that was... the sky. Now she could only protect a little piece of the sky by attacking anyone who flew into it, but she did that magnificently. She was living a bit hungry though, more so with time as the birds learned to stay out of that airspace. Still, he knew this lovely, mad lady was his Charge.

He set about feeding her and testing the limits of her airspace so other dragons could settle around them; larger clans bringing a bit more safety. He also set about hoarding gems (with the help of his sympathetic clan-mates) in order to purchase a tri-colored scatterscroll. The purchase succeeded beyond his wildest hopes, giving him the colours of a stormy sky. Obviously papa noodle was looking out for him, because the colour change made his lady a lot softer hearted toward him. Of course, he still often had to wear bandages because he had blocked a bit of her view of the sky and incurred her wrath.

More proof of the Gods favour came soon after his colour change. It was now possible to obtain a pattern, that with his colours, would make him look like a cloudy sky. There could be nothing more perfect to reduce his bite count (camouflage is a wonderful thing) and perhaps even entice his lady to care for him in return.
