There was once a young dragon who entered the forest on a dare. He wasn’t long to regret his decision as the trees closed around him, and he was no longer able to find a way out.

So they wandered. All through the days and the nights, until they came upon a small Fae who was just as lost as he.

The pair then traveled together – trying, and failing, to find a way out of the trees.

It was when they finally accepted that there was no escape that they searched far and wide for a place to call home. A cliffside, with a small cave – they could expand, they knew. And so they did.

Izan and his best friend, who soon become the love of their life, formed the clan that would one day be known as the Collectors. They took in those lost in the cursed forest, grew their numbers, expanded their territory as much as they dared with the threat of the Forest glaring them down as they got too close to the treeline.

The Collectors became a fairie tale to the denizens of the forest, known for their benevolence and the hope they could bring.

And Izan and Ellipsis were proud.

Then one day, a disaster struck.

Ellipsis had gone out to hunt, and never returned.

Distraught over the loss of their mate and best friend, Izan followed.

The clan never saw him again.

Izan doesn’t know his purpose anymore. They don’t remember why they wander the trees. They only know that they want to find the end to the treeline, and that his search drives him to exhaustion and an insatiable hunger.

Those who happen across their path say they’re no longer a dragon.

Others claim he’s but a spirit, attempting to find what he never could in life.

No one really knows for sure…

Through his aimless wanderings, Izan has encountered a number of the Forest’s manifestations. While they’ve survived them all, they weren’t left completely unscathed.

Status as half-claimed manifests itself in the following ways:

*Memory loss: has a hard time recalling events, and only constants remain in his mind. ex. The need to find the Forest’s edge drives him, but they also know Sihksty is a companion since she’s always with him, but sometimes forgets her name.

*Unable to sleep or eat, and while exhausted and starving, it doesn’t affect his actual health.
