The littlest commander

Latte is firstborn of her clutch, and takes the responsibility very seriously. Her dutiful, serious nature and considerable strength has earned her the nickname of Little Mother Mauler, in honour of her miniature likeness to the fierce ursine predators. Latte looks after those younger than her as if it were her job, and is quick to reprimand wrongdoing and reward righteousness in her cohorts.

Despite the inherent unruliness of hatchlings, those in Latte's presence do listen to her. Her voice, while still reedy and high with newness, manages to convey her strong will and stern temperament and command attention at once. Adult onlookers often comment that Latte's voice has an almost magical quality, and that, with age, she will no doubt have the capacity to command loyalty and obedience from anyone for anything.
