Biography
Amazonite
"Amazon Stone"
"Amazon Stone"
Kindness. Caring. Life.
This is the world Amazonite was born into. The icy Wildclaw with aqua wings was born in the heart of the Viridian Labyrinth. Raised in the Shrieking Wilds, in the shade of the Behemoth, he witnessed many wonders in his early life. Flora and fauna more varied than any one mind could possibly imagine surrounded him. Travelers from all over came to seek the bounty of the land. His own clan was often host to these dragons, caring for them and providing them with food from their overflowing stores. And they tended the land and protected all life within their boundaries. When he grew older, Amazonite began to grow restless.
There had to be more to life than caring for others. He made the long journey to the Southern Icefield, as far away from his native home as he could get. He yearned for a different way of life, and the Ice dragons were certainly different. While Nature dragons were known for friendliness and caring, the Ice dragons were known for aloofness and calculating logic. At first it was refreshing. He wasn’t expected to put anyone’s needs above his own and could look after himself first. But after a time he began to miss warmth, both from the sun and from friends. So he left, but he wears a pair of icy shackles to remind himself of his time there, and to symbolize how selfishness can become a prison in itself.
Amazonite wasn’t entirely sure of his planned destination, but the first step to the mainland was through the Windswept Plateau. The first dragon he encountered there was Raine of the Tuulikki clan. The little Fae clearly had the heart of a warrior, but was kind to Amazonite, who ended up joining the clan. He quickly became one of the best hunters and went on frequent trips. The free spirited Wind dragons of the area were just what Amazonite needed. They were kind, but still knew how to have fun. Finally he had found the balance he needed.
Or so he thought. On one of his hunting excursions, he spotted the most amazing Wildclaw he could ever imagine. She was standing on a high cliff, the noonday sun causing her iridescent scales to shine. She was the same icy hue as he, but her wings were a brilliant fire orange that contrasted his own aqua blue. The fact that she was a Plague dragon made no difference to him. He knew that she completed him, though he hadn’t even known he needed completing. This was truly the balance he had always wanted. For life was nothing without death. She completed the circle. That same day, Azar joined the Tuulikki clan, and has been with him ever since, even joining him in the clan’s move to the Viridian Labyrinth.
