Chalcedon
Night Diver, Seabed Comber

The Shadow flight think themselves masters of secrecy. But nothing hides secrets like the ocean.
Chalcedon is a weird Nocturne. Born to a Water clan, he has rather stunted wings - not an uncommon feature for Water dragons, who spend more time swimming than flying. Chalcedon himself is very much at home underwater. Preferably deep underwater. Every night after the sun sets, he leaves his concealed lair entrance in the cliffside overlooking the sea and plunges straight down until he reaches the bottom. He then spends the whole night, together with his bright-eyed familiar, searching the seabed for treasures. His definition of 'treasures' is pretty broad; he might bring home a sunken chest or a jar of coins, but he's just as likely to turn up with an odd shell or a tattered fishing net. He's also picked up a lot of odd habits and sounds from various sea creatures, since he spends more time around them than talking to the other dragons. The occasional bit of whalesong echoing through the lair is eerie, but at least they all know where it's coming from.
