Nobody knows where Sunspot came from. One day he was just found sitting atop a cliff, staring at a patch of sky worryingly close to the sun. When asked why he was there and why he had come, he answered "As I flew past your little clan, I felt something. A tingling on my scales, a quickening of my heartbeat, a sense of dread for an unseen future. Something is coming. I'd like to be here when it arrives. Do you have any dens with a nice view of the sunset?"

Over time his mysterious nature caused many to spread rumors about his past and what he does on his own all the time.

“They say he pours puddles of ink onto the ground and stares at the reflection of the sun in its surface for hours, and sees visions of the future in the gleam,” some whisper.

“He reached up to the sun, wishing to catch its light, but when he did it burnt his paws black,” others murmur.

No one has ever proved or disproved these theories.

It is hard to find Sunspot, since few know where he lives. Many ask Silkswift, since she was the one who assigned him his den in the first place, but she never reveals its location, as Sunspot requested his privacy be respected.

However, there is one person who will tell you how to find him, but only if the situation calls for it: Loa. As a fortune teller (in the loosest sense of the word), she receives many customers who are worried about their future. However, sometimes she’ll be asked for help with more serious and troubling matters. If you speak to her of strange dreams or a frequent sense of worry and dread that something terrible is going to happen soon, there’s a chance she might quietly arrange a meeting for you. Then and only then may you have a chance to meet Sunspot face to face.

... but that’s just what the rumors say.
