  • When he was a hatchling, a Maren Wavesinger adopted Talfryn. She knows not how her son ended up in the sea, perhaps raiders. Regardless, his cries for a nurturing hand had called her. Going against her clan's rules, this lady raised him in secret. Not once did she question how in arcane dragon could survive in sea, it was well known that Windsinger blessed all dragons venturing out into sea with an air bubble. It would only be time before Talfryn was discovered and as a result, both had fled.
  • His adoptive mother has yet to be named, so for now she is known as the Maren Wavesinger until I can find something that fits her.
  • Talfryn is a sweetheart, he's still has an innocence that hasn't been tainted quite yet. His mother prefers him to stay that way, so more of the audacious clanmates have to be careful in their words when she is around.
  • Talfryn might have kind of adopted Regis as his brother. Part of this is due to Regis being an Imperial like him, and the only Imperial he can recall. He had only his mother for company, so for Talfryn, there was a connection he felt towards Regis (though Regis was very reluctant and freaked out for a while due to the history of Emperors).
    To Talfryn's joy, Regis eventually grew fond of Talfryn to the point of spoiling him whenever he could.
  • His mother was born in a family where in that area would be considered royalty, and though Talfryn was hidden for his safety, she still considers her son to be a prince. She eventually found a suitable crown that would add to his looks and had it magicked so it wouldn't harm him.
