WispWitch has many names: witch, reaper, spiritualist, medium, clairvoyant, and…book thief. The last name she earned from her banishment from SquidInk’s library after hoarding too many books and refusing to give them back. One of those books is her Spellbound Tome- which actually has a spirit that she bound to it (to prevent the book from being taken back by SquidInk). WispWitch adores books-especially occult books- and is willing to do pretty much anything to get them for her hoard. Lying, stealing, and manipulation are all symptoms of her book hunger. Though it isn’t just for the sake of hoarding either, WispWitch is determined to read every book on the occult she can find in order to improve her own castings.

That determination does work well in her line of work, that of sending the spirits back to the well of life. She is occasionally called by LostBlue to help dispel any ghost or ghoul that may have entered the clan graveyard. Most of the time she is off adventuring on her own, studying shipwrecks and cleansing places of spirits both evil and benign. She would have even sent GlowWorm back to be reborn till she saw how the Bogsneak keep her mate occupied (and not causing trouble with her studies).

The Bogsneak has also had another blessing in the form of her mate, SilentKnell. The Skydancer has become a friend to WispWitch, discussing books and summoning of spirits and creatures. To help her summon spirits- and just for the love of how they look- WispWitch collects skulls and bones that she finds in her explorations. Most are free of spirits and cleansed, except for a few she keeps to study and learn from. Those she keeps in a secret room in the Abyssal Acropolis, partly in fear that they will be stolen but mainly in fear that she will be punished for not properly doing her job.
