Though Azkhali wasn't a fan of children, when Eilir found her alone and abandoned his heart went out to the little Imperial, who at the time was too young to even lift her wings. Taking pity upon the poor girl he (quite literally) took her under his wing and brought her back to his home. Of course, her soon-to-be adoptive mother initially didn't approve of the sudden responsibility that was thrust upon her, but with a little convincing and reverse psychology from Eilir Azkhali began to warm up to her new daughter, especially after she noticed that Calco was a talented fighter.

Though a gentle soul at her core, her mother has trained her to be capable of demonstrating lethal, destructive power if needed.
