"What's the status on the textile export?" Cwyne's name is all too appropriate to her personality. She acts with grace and dignity, though she is also supercilious towards others. Everything is on her terms and she will not accept otherwise - this often puts her at odds with the clan leaders, namely Forbaerna. Despite her unyielding disposition, Cwyne is not uncaring of others. She displays such care by endowing them with gifts and deigning to share their company. She has little patience for fools but usually getting into her good graces is worth the rewards. She is wickedly smart and is always up to a friendly debate.

Cwyne began her life in the Sea of a Thousand Currents, surrounded by prophecy and the ever changing currents. It was from this early age that Cwyne began to hone her mind, through listening to prophecies and then seeing how they unfold. For one who had a will as strong as Cwyne's, however, seeing the future unfold and knowing it would do so in that way soon drove her from her home clan in a desire to escape the feeling of inevitability.

The unknown that was magic quickly drew the young dragon to the Starfall Isles, where she fell in love with the wonder of it all. She became lost in the vastness of the universe there and remained trapped of her own free will in the land. While there, Cwyne marked her body with runes of light, proudly displaying her love of the arcane. Eventually the magic started to slowly drive her insane, the awe of it causing her to become increasingly unstable. A young male tundra by the name of Bregu, and a native of the Starfall Isles, noticed the slow decline for he had been watching Cwyne for some time. Cwyne will never forget the day he first approached her and all too easily swept her off her feet. He was charm incarnate - far more interesting and beautiful than magic.

Bregu took her away from the Starfall Isles to the lands of the Ashfall Waste. Close enough to her birth place and her family without the annoyance of prophecies, not to mention her intelligence would be put to good use to help the fire dragons trade their goods for the best prices. They went from clan to clan for some time, never quite satisfied with their reception. That is, until they met Forbaerna and Hrietian. It was a fledgling clan and well in need of their strategic help in getting started, not to mention the distraction clashing with Forbaerna provided to help Cwyne get over her obsession with magic.

Cwyne has acted as the trade strategist (with assistance from the treasurer Astyrian) since and has been a key factor in the clan's growth and success. She is a bright beacon within the clan and it is her status and ability that earned her Lumen's companionship for he had been looking for someone worthy of his favour. His encounter with her while she was making a trade deal at the Sunbeam Ruins left him impressed and she returned not just with success but a valuable friend. That trade trip garnered the clan two scrolls of magic that the clan used to change Cwyne and Bregu from tundras into ridgebacks, breeds far more suited to the heat of the Ashfall Wastes.
