Maybe he's a little bit full of himself, but mostly Yumni is just that good.

He had an easy upbringing on the Zephyr Steppes, hatched a younger son his clan's founders. His youth was a happy one, spent playing in the grasses of his home and leaping skyward to dance with the breezes. That carefree spirit has stuck with him, even when his windbound journeying brought him into the shadows of the Tangled Wood.

It would be easy to discount him, full as he is with privilege-born confidence and easy laughter. But he's no slouch - he's applied himself with great discipline (particularly for a spiral!) to his craft and he takes the duty of protecting his battlemates seriously.
