Helize
Hatchling Caretaker

Helize was born to the matriarch of a militaristic clan in the Southern Icefields; during her time in the Viridian Labyrinth, she loosened up significantly, and became a friendly and outgoing presence, always ready to greet a new friend.

The clan's relocation to the Shifting Expanse took a lot out of Helize, as she was forced to readjust to a harsher lifestyle. She compromised by blending old and new, putting an even greater personal emphasis on sacred hospitality while leaving her more aggressive clanmates to deal with those who would reject such an offer.

Helize found wrangling Lightning hatchlings, often too curious and clever for their own good, to be much more difficult than supervising the more well-behaved Nature hatchlings she had grown used to. Luckily, Gale had a knack for dealing with the little troublemakers, being a Lightning dragon herself. Though things have settled down in the nursery since the clan's return to the Viridian Labyrinth, and Helize no longer needs Gale's assistance, the sentry still makes a point of stopping in.

Helize appears more somber than she used to be, having eschewed the vivid colors and blooms of the Labyrinth for a dustier guise that wouldn't be out of place in the desert of the Shifting Expanse, but the truth is that she has regained much of the warmth and happiness she once thought she had lost.
