The relation between Mal and his twin sister Syn is an odd one. To call it being close would be an understatement: anything witnessed by one, the other knows of in an instant, even if they are on entirely opposite ends of Sornieth.

Mal enjoys strawberries, the soothing texture of silken scarves, and the soft brush of feathers.

His own wings are essentially nonexistent - he replaces them with cracked stone and water, bound together by nothing more than air and magic. "My sister took those," he likes to say, one of the few phrases guaranteed to pass his lips with a wry smile.
