She did not know what she was trying to prove, by wearing these crimson silks that shimmered in the sun. It was clear that no matter what she did, he would not look at her they way she wanted him to do. Diamond was completely smitten with Crystalline, and Sunset could see why. The female pearlcatcher was beautiful, graceful and of all perfect.

There was, of course, no way she could compare...

Stop. Sunset commanded herself to do so. She was just wasting her time by thinking such depressing thoughts.

What was she to do? The silks did not fit her, and she felt so very uncomfortable wearing such extravagant decorations. However, she could not take them off, as that would be rude, and she did not want to hurt the feelings of the kind dragon who had brought them to her.

Sunrise was his name. He was a newcomer, a handsome (but she would not admit it if questioned) male imperial that had recently joined the Harmony Clan.
