Fortold travels between the four allianced dragon lairs, though rarely goes to the Ice clan since the journey over the sea is so exhausting and the dragons there (like the ice dragons usually) are cold and unwelcoming. Fortold is part of his lair's exalting program and gets a part of the treasure taken from the exalted dragons. He also cleans the lair's hoard with his assistant Keleos and sells and buys all kinds of things (yes, baby dragons too) back and forth. Fortold also takes and delivers the dragon babies between the allied clans. The heavy work has made Fortold strong, but the amount of traveling makes him incapable of having a mate, so he mates with anyone and makes the five days of incubating his holiday.
