The Forgotten Soldier |

Funnily enough, he found himself in the dangerous, yet elusive BeastClans home known only as the Crystal pools. Nori was very confused, but decided to take a respite there, battling there by himself and gathering armor as he went. He didn't have a matching set, and therefore looked quite a bit comical for a very long while there. Nori felt as though he was meant to be there, battling until he found his clan. And find his clan he did. While battling a flock of those "weird crystalline birds," he was found by Jupiter, Comet's most formidable fighter. The other guardian, along with his team that consisted of a plucky spiral and a similar looking guardian, were overwhelmed by a team of four beasts, and Nori flocked in to save the day, more or less. When the battle was won, Nori welcomed them to come to his makeshift den to patch them up and for some food to replenish themselves. Oberon voiced his doubts softly to Jupiter, but they ended up joining Nori despite the young spiral's complaints. As the few hours went on, Jupiter finally asked the mysterious and ragged guardian was doing out here, all on his own. Nori answered simply, "I still have not found what I'm looking for." Jupiter knew that he meant a clan; why else would he be out here, in the middle of nowhere. Against more protests from Oberon, it was Quigley that offered Nori to come and join their clan, at least for a short time. After all, Comet was looking for more fighters, and allowed almost any dragon to stay in her mountainous lair. Nori accepted, and that's where his story truly begins. |

This was when he was more or less given a job; he was going to help the younger dragons in the clan become stronger alongside Jupiter. Jupiter and Nori became very good friends over the course of all of this, and often can be found sheltered on some of the many shelves throughout the cavern swapping stories of battles fought, as well as just simple bonding. One such thing that they bonded over was the ridiculousness of Nori's armor, all mismatched and the like. Jupiter insisted that he needed to change that, but Nori really never did. That is, until about after a month of secrecy, Jupiter gave Nori a gift of a matching set of armor. He said he'd feel more at ease if he knew that his friend was safe when they battled. Time passed, as it always does, and from the Earthen clan that Comet had allied herself with came a ruddy colored snapper. Jupiter wasn't sure of her at first, but Nori was all for getting to know her. Her name was Apple, and she was as sweet as her name implied. She was someone who helped Nori and Jupiter with their wounds when she could, and she was always bringing the little hatchlings of the lair to them to visit. After Comet's disappearance, a few of the science dragons started to work on something for Nori. The one who was overseeing the whole thing was Ceri, the oddly quiet and unsettling skydancer, also from an earth clan. Nori was able to get Apple and Jupiter to tell him what was going on. It was the gembond. That tertiary gene had a tendency to kill dragons who had it, as it imbedded into their bodies and became hardened until all that was left was a body that resembled a shoddy statue. Nori was horrified, and so he went along with them, and did his best to help them figure out a cure for his ailment. It seemed the nature dragons who lived in the clan were unaffected by this curse, since they were more intune to nature magic, and were able to keep the infection under control. And, finally, he was able to be free from the crystalline things that lived on his body. He has never been happier in his life. |
