Biography
Apallathea -- Master Librarian.
Although forgetful with most things, she can remember the name of every single book in the library, and where it belongs.

True to her Snapper blood, Apallathea boasts a love for knowledge. The only trouble is, her memory is worse than that of a Tundra, and terribly ironic given the usually rock solid memory of her species. Despite this, she serves as the keeper of the clan's library and records. If one wants a book, or records on a particular matter of the clan, it is Apallathea that is gone to. Even if she may take a while filling out your request.
The source of Apallathea's dodgy memory is, even to her, complex and rather elusive. She remembers little of her hatchling hood, and it is believed by her and many others that the reason stems from this time in her life. Without anyone to confirm or deny it, or provide further light on the subject, this is purely speculation. Despite her intermittent memory, Apallathea doesn't let it get her down or thwart her passion for knowledge and bookkeeping.
Apallathea boasts an incredible level of dedication, and an intricate method of memorisation consisting of many notes, sketches of dragon's faces, and - borrowing from Tundras - unique scents in the form of oils dabbed on to particularly important notes she needs to re-hash regularly. She has found a particularly effective on-the-go method in the form of wearing a wreath of flowers about her neck that she adds blooms to when something needs doing, removing them as she completes each task. She finds this easier in some cases than making lists, and varies between flower wreaths and note stacks clamped between her jaws.
Whilst she takes her time, and may need a moment to go through her notes, she usually manages rather well with the system she has built. If she is having particular trouble remembering something, she often pauses, even mid sentence on occasion. These lapses are affectionately referred to as 'brain farts' by both Apallathea herself, and those who know her. Any confusion or annoyances are often defused easily when a brain fart is known to be to blame.
Despite her relatively well oiled system and tactics, Apallathea desperately needs assistants to help her, finding the constant need to pause and check her mountainous mass of notes, and clumsily write new ones, a detriment to her work ethic. As it stands, she works alone, hopeful that she will gain some understanding protégées to help her.
Regardless of if she remembers you or not, Apallathea is a warm dragon through and through, and will do anything to help you find that sliver of knowledge or specific tome. Just don't expect it to be done with any sense of speed. And subjects to be repeated a few times.
Patience is truly a virtue with Apallathea, and will pay of handsomely. If one has enough of it.
