Biography
Adopted grandson of Veera. Mog's joints make strange clicking sounds every time he moves.
Mog watched the darkness and knew that the darkness watched him in turn. This was the first sign he noticed marking him different from the other dragons that surrounded him, next was that they didn't seem to notice the eyes always watching, or hear the sweet ringing voice calling out from dark corners or cracks in the wall. Mog thought simple things, like snapping and crunching bones between one's teeth or watching a snake eat a baby bird, were meant in life to create tremendous joy, but others shied away as he pointed them out.
Mog watched as the last rays dipped below the horizon, night was falling. Granny Veera would expect him back at the clan soon, but he was an adult dragon now he could stay out just a little longer right? The world was so much more interesting at night and more peaceful if he was remembering his time in the mire correctly. It was only at night that you could watch the birds in their nests without being pecked at, the parents cooing soft lullabies nestled close to the tiny hatchlings. Curious things lived in the shadows and even the shadows themselves became curious at night! He had remembered once trying to explain to Veera that there were 2 kinds of darkness; there were the just boring shadow kind and the second kind which could move and sometimes could bite. It wasn't always very friendly, but you could call it over to you like a familiar! Veera looked so frightened, asking were he had seen the shadows that moved, how many there were, how big they were. After that she made a rule that Mog couldn't stay out very long after dark.... But it wasn't so dark right now and Mog was not too far enough away from the clan that playing with the shadows wouldn't be so bad. Mog squinted into the growing darkness searching for tiny patches that moved. He couldn't see any out yet, impatiently he tapped his foot. But as his foot came down he noticed there was something off about the air. There they were! Hiding right in his own shadow! He couldn't help but grin. "Did you come home with me 2 nights ago? You shouldn't do that again." he advised his little shadow friends, "If Granny Veera were every to find out, she'd be so angry and make such a fuss to the clan. I don't think she likes you very much... Ah! The grain and couple of gems that went missing yesterday; that was you playing prank, wasn't it? What do you even do with the things you take?" Mog pondered. The shadows began pooling up at his feet, condensing together, and swelling higher and higher till they were the size of a large fat cat and as thick as soup. They swayed, dancing closer to the darken woods, and with ethereal tendrils lazily waving beckoned Mog to draw near. Of course, Mog followed wondering what games they could enjoy together tonight.
