Mio has always been grounded like her Earth heritage implies. Her unusually quiet Spiral family raised her to be honest and calm, like a pillar of strength. Even when she chose to leave her birth clan for another, they supported her. As such, she loves them dearly and still visits them when she isn't helping Celia with the hatchlings or Kiri with guarding the clan. Her transition into a much more volatile Arcane clan was not easy, but she made it through using sheer willpower. In fact, the hatchlings of the lair look up to her constant confidence and stalwart loyalty, treating her as a mother figure. This made it natural for her to be assigned the job of teaching them reading and writing. Though she doesn't let them get away with any mischief, the hatchlings have understood that she's not the one to mess with.

Beneath all the confidence and calm though, her thoughts race like the energetic Spiral she should be. It was this inner mental speed and sharpness that drew Royden to her. Although it took some time for her usual calm and composed manner to fall away, she grew close to him and had a few clutches with him. She was every bit the respected mother she should be, and their children grew up to become accomplished, some even aiding the Arcanist himself. Through many years, Royden was always by her side, and it came as a shock to her when he suddenly fell gravely ill. The clan tried to heal him, but the illness was strong, and they decided that their only hope of saving him was sending him to the Arcanist. However, the Arcanist never sent a message or Royden back, leaving most of the clan to believe he didn't make it. io didn't let it show, but losing Royden took a huge toll on her. Though the rest of the clan didn't think Royden was still alive, she held a spark of hope that one day, he would return to her. With each new day, she is always the first to scan the horizon for any trace of him. With each absence of a message, she only hoped harder, and to this day she still scans the horizons hopefully every day.

Shortly after Royden left, however, a new Wildclaw named Aryan showed up in the clan. He began to accompany Mio on the times she went and waited ever patiently for Royden, hoping one day the Skydancer would come back and make her happier than he ever could. After the clan's hibernation cycle ended, Aryan left her as well, breaking her already fragile heart a second time. After this, one of Celia's sons, Oak, fell for Mio. They were together for less than 6 months, before Oak left with his father Ziel for a "change of scenery". Mio was absolutely crushed that another dragon she thought loved her would leave. She was beggining to think she would be alone forever, until one day she was wandering the Auction house with some of the other girls, and a male Pearlcatcher caught her eye. His striking ghost pattern intrigued her, and she began talking to him. He introduced himself as Spooke, and they two hit it off. He followed Mio home, and the two have been inseperable, at least so far...
