Isold just appeared one day and when asked where she was from, simply responded with "Well THAT's a boring question." She took on the duties of a quartermaster without anyone asking and does them well, for the most part. However, there are a few clan-members that Isold particularly dislikes for whatever reason (probably the most obvious is Zoukos, though now that Niteris has joined the clan she's clearly become torn between who she dislikes more) and she often makes their life difficult by hiding items they want, giving them items they didn't ask for, or simply making herself scarce so they can't ask her for anything. Zoukos has taken to asking Varda or Nama to get things he needs for his experiments from the tiny Nocturne, as he's given up on doing so himself and there's no fighting or scaring Isold into doing what you want. The little creature is an impressive ice mage and uses her cunning mind and elemental skills to set up elaborate pranks or simply freeze her opponents to the nearest wall when attacked.

Her mastery of ice is one reason why she's a great defensive mage as well, and when the clan is in trouble she can be counted on to make enemies wish they'd just stayed home. Her loyalty is also clearly to the clan, for all her pranks and difficult personality, which makes it easier for Nonoch to ignore the few clan-members who actively pursue the idea that Isold should be kicked out. The reality is that Isold is probably the smartest dragon in the clan, and she gets easily bored. She also has trouble empathizing with others, even if she cares about them, and so she can be a little cruel without doing it purposefully.
