Otheym is from a prestigious clan of warriors. He left home to look for his Charge and found Trill's lair. He felt the call inside him, which told him that the peaceful clan of free spirits was is Charge. Admittedly he was a little disappointed at first. He has the warring spirit of his clan, and knew he would stick out in the Updraft Knot Clan. He asked to join the Garrison Guards but was considered a little too wild for the task.

General Ebony suggested that he join the Mystics for he did have a way with fire. He did find a place with them, and soon discovered that there were dark forces that desired to rip the clan apart. Only the Mystics and Scouts knew about this enemy, fighting against the forces in secret, hoping that they would only need to bring it to the attention of the Council in the most dire of times. Otheym joined the Mystics in this fight, and his power has grown substantially and he finds the fight and cause a worthy one, as well as fueled by his desire to protect the clan.
